Report: Juventus may try to tempt Conte by signing Inter Milan star

CMW.it have claimed that Juventus could agree to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan in order to get Antonio Conte to take over at the club next summer.

Over the last week, reports from Italy have claimed that Conte would be open to returning to Juve next summer, which is why he is stalling on signing a new contract at Tottenham (Calciomercato).

However, this rumour was dismissed by Football.London’s Alasdair Gold on Thursday, with the journalist revealing that those close to the Spurs boss believe he would be happy to enter into talks over a new deal at the North London club.

Meanwhile, CMW.it reported earlier this week that Bastoni could potentially fall out with Simone Inzaghi after the Inter boss took the centre-back off just 31 minutes into the clash against Udinese last Sunday.

The report suggested that Tottenham will be alive to the 23-year-old’s situation and could make a move for him in January or next summer.

The same publication have now claimed that Conte could demand that Juve snap up Bastoni if he is to take over at the Allianz Stadium.

It is asserted that the Italy international would be at the top of the 53-year-old’s shopping list and that Juve could make a concrete offer of €45m-€50m (£39.7m-£44.1m) for the centre-back to please Conte.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham will be confident of blowing Juventus out of the water financially in the race for Bastoni, given the Serie A side’s financial position. So, the suggestion that Conte would accept the Juve job if the Old Lady sign the Inter star, simply does not add up.
