Report: Juventus ready to sell Spurs target for £30m

TuttoSport have claimed that Juventus will cash in on rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Merih Demiral if they receive a suitable offer for the centre-back this summer.

Demiral has struggled for regular game time since moving to Juventus in 2019 and it was previously reported that both Tottenham and Everton were eyeing a move for the Turkish international this summer.

Spurs were alleged to be in talks with the player’s representatives last month, with some sources from Italy suggesting that Fabio Paratici might hand the North Londoners an advantage over the Toffees in the race for the centre-back.

Roma have also been credited with an interest in Demiral, with Jose Mourinho said to be keen on taking the 23-year-old to the Stadio Olympico.

TuttoSport have now revealed that Demiral’s future is up in the air, with the defender’s chances of staying at Juventus depending on the offers the Serie A club receive this summer.

Spurs are named as one of the clubs looking at the central defender and it is asserted that the Old Lady would cash in on him for £30m.

Spurs Web Opinion

Paratici would know well of Demiral’s qualities, having brought the defender to Juve and worked with him for two years. One would think that the Italian would give us an advantage in the pursuit of the Turkish international.

However, it is unclear whether Demiral is indeed at the top of Paratici’s wishlist, with a whole host of central defenders being linked with Spurs over the last few weeks.
