Report: Kane expects breakthrough in move to Man City

The Sun have claimed that Harry Kane expects a breakthrough in his hope to join Manchester City before the weekend.

Reports emerging over the last few days have indicated that the striker is increasingly likely to stay at Spurs for another season.

The Daily Mail claimed on Tuesday that the England captian will continue to give everything to his boyhood club if a move does not materialise this summer.

However, if The Sun’s latest update is to be believed, Kane still expects to be a City player before the window closes at the end of the month.

The report claims that the 28-year-old is hopeful there will be a breakthrough in the negotiations between the two clubs over the next few days.

Despite Daniel Levy playing hardball, it is suggest that club sources are now resigned to prospect of Kane leaving.

The Sun also adds that deteriorating relations between the Tottenham chairman and Kane has hardened the striker’s desire for an exit.

If it is true that Daniel Levy is refusing to negotiate as some sources suggest, I do not think we will constantly be getting reports like this. It is evident that Kane’s camp and Manchester City are convinced that a move is on the cards.

So, I am certainly not as confident as some Spurs fans seem to be that the striker is staying. However, we would have to see some major movements over the next few days if the deal is likely to materialise.
