Report: Kane has no desire to play for Spurs again with Man City prepared to increase offer

Harry Kane does not plan to return to pre-season training with Tottenham Hotspur until he is granted his wish to leave the club, according to The Athletic.

Tottenham officials are said to be furious with the decision that the 28-year-old has made to stay away from the training ground and will fine him if he does not report for duty.

Kane is reported to have told a senior non-English Manchester City player prior to yesterday’s strike decision of his desire to move to the Premier League champions.

It is claimed that some employees at City became aware over the weekend that Kane has no desire to train or play for Tottenham ever again.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s stance remains that he is not prepared to sell Kane to another Premier League club and will only consider a bid from a foreign club if it is in the region of £150million.

City are prepared to increase their offer to £130million, but this would become irrelevant unless Levy changes his mind on refusing to deal with a fellow English side.

Kane is ruining his legendary status among the Tottenham Hotspur fans at a rate of knots. The reality is that if Levy is not prepared to sell Kane to City, then that should be the end of it.

If he really wants to push for a move, then it has to come from abroad. However, the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic has significantly reduced his overseas options, while the forward also is believed to want to remain in England and break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record.
