Harry Kane is insistent that he will make himself available for Tottenham’s Europa Conference League playoff tie against Portuguese club Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports.
Kane did not make the matchday squad for Tottenham’s season opener against Manchester City, with Nuno Espirito Santo insisting the striker was not ready to be involved after having only trained for a couple of days.
The speculation linking the England captain with a move to City continues to rumble on but some sources have indicated over recent days that the Premier League champions may have left it too late to complete the deal.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein has now revealed that Kane is keen to feature for Spurs on Thursday.
The striker has been named by Nuno Espirito Santo in Tottenham’s 25-man squad for the two legs of their Europa Conference League playoff tie against Pacos de Ferreira.
Ornstein claimed even though the England captain is yet to fully be integrated group training, he is insistent that he will make himself available for Thursday’s clash.
The journalist added that Kane plans to be in contention for Spurs’ visit to Wolves next Sunday if not for the trip to Portugal.
He also revealed there is currently no dialogue between City and Tottenham regarding the 28-year-old.

If Kane is keen to be involved on Thursday, that suggests that the striker might have accepted that he is staying at Spurs for another season.
The clash against Pacos de Ferreira might be the ideal opportunity for Kane to make his return away from the scrutiny of Spurs fans.
If he comes on a substitute and bangs in a goal or two, one would expect the Tottenham faithful to forgive his antics and give him a good reception against Wolves on Sunday.
