Report: Kane’s relationship with Daniel Levy ‘broken’ after striker’s actions

The Athletic have revealed that Daniel Levy’s relationship with Harry Kane has broken after the striker went public with his desire to leave the club.

In a candid interview with Gary Neville back in May, Kane admitted that he is keen to win silverware and that he would have a conversation with Levy regarding his future this summer.

Reports indicate that Manchester City could make a big effort for the England captain this summer but Tottenham allegedly continue to maintain that the striker is not for sale.

Levy himself insisted in a rare interview to Spurs TV last month that everybody at the club shares the striker’s frustrations about the results over the past couple of years.

However, the Athletic have now revealed that the Spurs chairman’s relationship with Kane is not what it used to be.

The report explains that the striker is usually often on the phone with Levy and would have normally been filled in on Tottenham’s managerial search.

It is revealed that Levy did not consult Kane this time round partly because their relationship has been damaged by the striker’s public statement regarding his future.

Hopefully, the pair’s relationship is not irreparably damaged as that would likely mean what we would cash in on Kane. I suspect Levy will turn down offers for Kane this summer but will likely be planning, along with Fabio Paratici, to cash in on the striker in 12 months. Our rumoured interest in Vlahovic could be a sign that Paratici views the Serbian as Kane’s heir when the England captain leaves next summer.
