Report: La Liga club could make a move for Dejan Kulusevski this summer

Fichajes.net have claimed that Sevilla are considering a move for Dejan Kulusevski this summer as doubts continue to mount over the Swede’s future at Tottenham.

Kulusevski’s loan spell at Spurs comes to an end this summer, with Tottenham having the option to make the deal permanent for £30.4m (Fabrizio Romano).

However, some publications have suggested over recent weeks that the North London club are having doubts about paying the aforementioned amount.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via SportWitness 15/05/23) even suggested recently that the Lilywhites may look to negotiate with Juventus to bring the price down.

Fichajes have now claimed that Kulusevski has been on Sevilla’s wishlist for ‘a long time’ and that the Spanish club could be prepared to offer the player a route to La Liga this summer.

It is alleged that Jose Luis Mendilibar wants reinforcements in the wide areas this summer and that the club’s hierarchy have identified the Tottenham man as someone who could bolster the position.

However, it is explained that Sevilla might face plenty of competition for Kulusevski’s signature if he becomes available.

Fichajes also add that Los Nervionenses might not be able to meet Juve’s asking price for the winger and could thus look to strike an initial loan deal with a potential option to buy.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite the various reports that have emerged over the last couple of weeks regarding Tottenham’s doubts over Kulusevski, I remain confident that the North London club will activate the £30m option to buy the winger, irrespective of who replaces Antonio Conte as the club’s next head coach.
