According to the print edition of Mundo Deportivo (09/08/23 as relayed by Sport Witness), Real Sociedad have reached out to Giovani Lo Celso’s father regarding his son’s availability.
The report states that Sociedad’s top target is Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, but there are some hiccups in the negotiations for the Dutchman.
This is because the Spanish club want to sign the player on loan with an option to buy while the Red Devils are insisting on a mandatory purchase option, which is why Sociedad have now turned their attention to Lo Celso.

The outlet claims that Sociedad have ‘asked’ about the Argentine’s availability and have even had a meeting with the player’s father in Valencia.
While the details of what was discussed during the meeting are not provided, it is revealed that the club have not made any progress over a potential deal for the 27-year-old, who has played a prominent part in Tottenham’s pre-season.

From Lo Celso’s body language and the intent he has shown in pre-season, it is clear that the midfielder wants to stay at Tottenham and fight for his place. If that is indeed the case, I do not see Postecolgou letting him go this summer.
