Report: La Liga club set to make transfer offer for 25-year-old Spurs player

Fichajes journalist Ekrem Konur has revealed that Sevilla are now set to make an offer for Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez.

Sanchez endured a difficult campaign last season as he struggled to get a run in the side under Jose Mourinho and subsequently also warmed the bench under Ryan Mason.

Alasdair Gold has revealed that the 25-year-old is likely to follow Toby Alderweireld out of the door this summer as Tottenham look to revamp their central defensive options.

It previously emerged that Tottenham tried to use Sanchez as a makeweight in their attempts to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

Despite Tottenham shifting their attentions to Cristian Romero after failing with their attempts to sign Kounde, Sevilla are still alleged to hold an interest in Sanchez.

Konur has revealed that the La Liga club are now set to make an offer to sign the Tottenham centre-back.

However, the journalist added that Kounde would first half to complete a move to Chelsea before Sevilla can push ahead with a move for Sanchez.

Spurs Web Opinion

While it is encouraging to read that Spurs are close to sealing Romero’s signing, I am starting to get concerned that the club have been unable to shift a lot of their deadwood until now. We are running out of time to find buyers for the likes of Sanchez, Sissoko, Aurier and Winks.
