Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is wanted by Villarreal on a permanent basis, according to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo.
The South American correspondent revealed the news to the popular All About Argentina Twitter account.
It is reported that Tottenham did not include an option for the La Liga club to make the deal permanent as part of the agreement which saw the former Real Betis player head back to Spain in January for the remainder of the campaign.
The Yellow Submarine are expected to open negotiations with Tottenham in the summer for the 25-year-old who failed to hit the expected heights in north London following his £42.3m switch (Evening Standard).

Lo Celso failed to have any impact at Tottenham in what has to be considered as one of the worst pieces of transfer business the club have come conducted in recent years. Hopefully, he can have a good end to the season to allow Spurs to recoup as much of a fee as possible.
