Report: La Liga side ready to battle Spurs for striker

According to a report in Sport Mediaset (via the Daily Mail), Sevilla have now entered the race for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek.

Spurs have been linked with several strikers this month as they seek a replacement for the injured Harry Kane and Piatek has been among those who is rumoured to be on the radar of the Champions League finalists (The Sun).

The 24-year-old who has scored four goals in eighteen Serie A appearances this season (Transfermarkt) has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the San Siro.

However, contrasting reports have emerged regarding Tottenham’s pursuit of the striker with some reports claiming that a deal between Milan and Spurs had been agreed (The Sun) while others reported that it was unlikely (Sky Sports Germany).

If the latest report in Sport Mediaset is to be believed, Spurs now face stiff competition from Sevilla for the Polish international’s signature with the La Liga club determined to land the striker.

Spurs Web Opinion

I actually like the look of Piatek and believe that he fits the profile we need. He will be a handy option to have in the squad even when Kane is back from his injury. However, a loan deal with an option to buy would be ideal as it remains to be seen how he will take to the Premier League.
