Report: Latest Tottenham injury news ahead of the clash with Man City

Tottenham Hotspur take on Man City at the Etihad this weekend in only their second fixture of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

This comes after Spurs beat Aston Villa 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the opening weekend, while City thrashed West Ham 5-0 at the Olympic Stadium.

Away to the reigning champions is just about the hardest fixture you can get on paper, but perhaps Pochettino will be relishing a chance to face City before they find a rhythm.

Unfortunately, it looks as if the Argentine will be without a number of first-team players for the match, as City look to get Champions League revenge on the Lilywhites.

Football London claim that Dele Alli is still at least a couple of weeks away from a return from his hamstring injury.

Ben Davies is said to be unlikely to return to the squad against the Champions as he continues his training after surgery.

Juan Foyth is meant to be out until September with an ankle injury he sustained against Bayern Munich in pre-season and the Argentine would have been banned anyway. Heung Min Son is also banned for the match.

Ryan Sessegnon is also said to be out for the rest out August after his deadline day move.

The only good news appears to be from Serge Aurier, who could contend after returning to the bench last week.
