Report: Leeds and Liverpool interested in starlet Spurs allegedly scouted this year

The Sun have claimed that Leeds United are ready to step up their chase of Aberdeen starlet Calvin Ramsay, who was previously linked with a move to Tottenham.

Ramsey has won several admirers since breaking into the Aberdeen first-team towards the end of last season. The marauding young right-back has notched up 9 assists in all competitions for the Scottish club so far this term (Transfermarkt).

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a right wing-back this summer (The Sun) and it was previously reported that the North London club had sent scouts to Scotland to watch Ramsey in action (The Press and Journal).

However, according to The Sun’s latest update, Leeds and Liverpool are currently the front-runners for the 18-year-old’s signature.

The report reveals the Reds have identified Ramsay as a potential cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold and are looking to complete a £3m swoop for the youngster.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s men are alleged to be facing competition from Leeds, who are now said to be making a dramatic late bid to take the teenager to Elland Road.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs are likely one of many clubs from the Premier League and around Europe who scouted Ramsey. However, it does not seem like the North Londoners are following that up with a bid, which suggests that they are prioritising moves for other right-backs.
