Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Leicester City are ‘really interested’ in snapping up Tottenham target Chrisitan Eriksen in the summer.
Eriksen has shone for both club and country since his return to competitive action and the attacking midfielder has been linked with a sensational return to Spurs in the summer when his six-month contract with Brentford runs out (90min).
The Tottenham away contingent gave a great reception to the 30-year-old during the Lilywhites’ 1-1 draw at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday.
Eriksen admitted after the game that he remains a Spurs fan and is rooting for this former club to get back into the Champions League.
🗣 "Yeah of course I'm still a Spurs fan."

It has previously been reported that Newcastle United (Northern Echo) and Manchester United (Daily Star) are expected to compete with Spurs for the Denmark international’s services in the summer.
Fabrizio Romano named Leicester as a potential competitor for Eriksen’s signature but he revealed that neither Spurs nor the Foxes have commenced talks for the time being.
Conte: “Christian Eriksen was really important player for me. To see him now playing at this level is incredible. I’m very happy for him, he’s doing amazing”. 🇩🇰 #THFC
Tottenham and Leicester are really interested in signing Eriksen on a free in June – but still no talks now.

At this point, this transfer almost looks nailed on to go through. Eriksen would likely not turn down the chance to return to Spurs while Antonio Conte needs a number 8 and the chance to sign a player of the Dane’s quality on a free transfer, who understands his system, seems too good to turn down.
