Report: Leicester to make an offer for Spurs-linked star

According to a report in Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Leicester City are about launch an audacious move for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The report claims that the 30-year-old is available for a price of €35million this summer and Brendan Rodgers is keen to add him to the Foxes squad.

The Croatian international has been linked with a move to both Tottenham and Arsenal in in the past (Corriere dello Sport).

Perisic was a regular starter for Luciano Spalletti last season and bagged eight goals and four assists as Inter finished fourth ahead of rivals AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri have now replaced Spalletti with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and it is suggested that Perisic is not in the former Chelsea man’s plans moving forward.

Inter director Piero Ausilio confirmed in January that Perisic wanted to leave the club but said at the time that there were no suitable offers for the World Cup finalist (AOL).

It looks like the attacking midfielder might finally get his wish this summer as Leicester attempt to bring him to the Premier League.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is unclear if Tottenham were ever interested in Perisic, or if it was just his agent trying to ramp up interest in the player by feeding the information to the press. Besides, given his age and style of play, we believe a move for the Croatian international won’t make much sense for Tottenham.
