Report: Levy holds peace-making meeting with agent of Spurs player

According to the latest reports from France, Tanguy Ndombele remains as determined as ever to quit Tottenham despite Jose Mourinho’s attempts to play down the rumoured tensions between the pair.

A report in L’Equipe (as relayed by GFFN) claims that the Spurs boss is still not happy with Ndombele’s application in training and expects more from the midfielder.

The 23-year-old once again found himself being an unused substitute in Tottenham’s 1-0 over Everton on Monday night.

The report claims that the France international is still not on speaking terms with Mourinho and is angling for an exit this summer, with his representatives already holding discussions with Barcelona as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it is said that Tottenham are keen to hold on to their record signing with the club not willing to hold any discussions with potential suitors for the former Lyon man’s signature for the moment.

It is claimed that Daniel Levy has personally intervened and held conversations with the France international’s representatives, as he aims to solve tensions between the Tottenham head coach and the midfielder.

The Spurs chairman reportedly feels that Ndombele can reverse his current predicament and become a key element of the Spurs set-up under Mourinho.

Spurs Web Opinion

It now looks fairly clear that someone close to Ndombele seems to be leaking stories to the French press on a regular basis. We seem to be hearing the same speculation about his future every single time the midfielder finds himself not playing.

If Jose is not happy with Ndombele’s efforts in training and the midfielder wants to leave Spurs, then we should cut our loses on him this summer. I cannot understand how so many Spurs fans have convinced themselves that he is a messiah when he has shown a lack of desire right from the day he walked in.
