Report: Levy is attempting to get Real Betis to reduce Lo Celso price even further

It has been reported that Daniel Levy is attempting to drive Real Betis down from their $32m price for Giovani Lo Celso this transfer window.

Spurs have the option to sign the player in January for €32m or wait until the summer when they will have the option to pay €40m or may even be forced to shell out such an amount if they qualify for the Champions League (ABC Sevilla).

Tottenham signed the player on loan back in the summer on transfer deadline day, so these clubs have a history of letting things go down to the wire (BBC).

However, inews claim that Daniel Levy is trying to get Spurs an even better deal, while Real Betis are not interested in entertaining such an idea.

It was initially reported by the BBC in the summer that Tottenham had bid £53m for Lo Celso, so getting him for €32 or under, which amounts to £27m, would be good business.
