Report: Levy phoned European giant to offer Tottenham star this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to make a single purchase in the last 18 months, with two and a half transfer windows coming and going in that time.

However, Spurs have only sold one senior player in that same time period to be fair, in the form of a Mousa Dembele transfer to the Chinese Super League.

Reports have suggested over the past month that Christian Eriksen could be the next sale out of Tottenham this summer, with Real Madrid circling for the star (Express).

Eriksen heavily hinted that he was looking for a move earlier this month when he told the Danish media that he wanted a new challenge and a step up from Spurs (Ekstra Bladet).

However, it seems as if Madrid are not interested in the Great Dane this season, with Marca stating that Daniel Levy even called them up to offer the playmaker (29/06/19).

Eriksen is said to be willing to wait a year and move somewhere on a free in the summer of 2020, with Tottenham reportedly wanting €70 for him this transfer window.
