Report: Levy ready to make Harry Kane promise to Antonio Conte

The Telegraph have revealed that Daniel Levy is ready to promise Antonio Conte that the club will hold on to Harry Kane.

Conte has now emerged as Tottenham’s number one target, with reports indicating that the club are now in talks with the recently departed Inter Milan boss.

The Telegraph have revealed that negotiations could now progress quickly, with Levy set to make the Italian an official offer after Paris Saint-Germain remained firm on Mauricio Pochettino.

The report claims that Conte is keen on returning to the Premier League and regards Tottenham’s training ground and stadium as one of the best in the world.

However, it is explained that the 51-year-old would seek assurances regarding money to spend this summer and would want to know the club’s plan regarding Kane.

Levy will reportedly tell the former Chelsea boss that Kane will stay unless he would prefer the striker to be sold and for the money to be reinvested into the squad.

Conte is not going to accept the job unless he is promised what he needs in terms of investment. So, If Levy is serious about getting the 51-year-old, that suggests that the Spurs chairman is prepared to back him this summer.
