Report: Levy trying to ‘convince’ international manager to take over at Spurs

Journalist, Sacha Tavolieri, has revealed that Daniel Levy is using the help of super-agent Pini Zahavi to get Roberto Martinez to Tottenham.

Despite the way things ended for Martinez at Everton, the Spaniard has managed to rebuild his reputation during his stint as Belgium boss.

He has demonstrated his tactical versatility and has made the Red Devils the number one ranked side in the world.

The speculation linking the 47-year-old with the Tottenham job is not showing any signs of dissipating either.

Football Insider reported two weeks ago that the Belgium boss is pushing hard for the Tottenham job and that his enthusiasm for the role has impressed the North London club’s hierarchy.

Tavolieri has now stated that Levy has made contact with Zahavi to help convince Martinez to take over at Tottenham.

The journalist suggested that the former Wigan and Everton manager could jump ship after the European Championship.
