Report: Levy wanted these two players in Spurs squad next year – Mourinho disagreed

ESPN have reported that Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy, was excited by the idea of including both Kyle Walker-Peters and Troy Parrott in the 2020/21 squad.

Walker-Peters had been a part of the Tottenham academy since he was a young child before breaking through under Pochettino, while Parrott has been a rising star in the youth system for the past two years.

Daniel Levy reportedly wanted to see them given a chance in the senior team next season, but Jose Mourinho disagreed with the idea.

It is said that Mourinho did not rate either one of the youngsters and neither one will play a part in the upcoming Spurs campaign.

Walker-Peters was sold to Southampton after a positive short-term loan spell there at the end of last season, while Parrott has been loaned out to Milwall for the entire 20/21 campaign.

It remains to be seen whether the teenage Irishman will be able to impress Mourinho enough to earn a spot in the squad next time around.
