Report: Ligue 1 boss set to quit, keen on Premier League move

ESPN have claimed that Lille boss Christophe Galtier could be set to quit Lille amid links with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, Tottenham have now settled on a shortlist of managers to replace Jose Mourinho and are set to hold talks with the candidates about succeeding the Portuguese.

The journalist stated that Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Roberto Martinez and Scott Parker are all thought to be on the club’s shortlist.

Galtier is another name who has been linked with the Tottenham vacancy by the Lille boss is by no means the favourite for the role.

The Frenchman has done a commendable job since arriving at Lille, who are on the verge of beating Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title.

ESPN claim that Galtier could walk away from Stade Pierre Mauroy at the end of the season.

The report suggests that Lyon and Nice are both interested in appointing the Lille boss but the 54-year-old is keen on managing in England.
