Report: Ligue 1 club have already received six offers for Spurs target

According to a report in L’Équipe (as relayed by GFFN), French club Lille have already received six offers for midfield sensation Boubakary Soumare.

The report mentions Spurs as one of the many clubs keen on signing the 20-year-old in January along with the likes of Manchester United, Valencia, Napoli and Real Madrid.

Tottenham have been linked quite heavily with a move for Soumare in recent weeks, with the youngster said to be one of Jose Mourinho’s primary targets in the transfer window (the Sun).

L’Equipe (as relayed by Sport Witness) previously reported that Lille are ready to sanction the midfielder’s sale in January.

The Ligue 1 side will reportedly demand between €50-60m for the youngster to sanction a sale.

While there seems to be considerable interest in Soumare, Spurs could have an advantage with Joao Sacramento having worked with the Frenchman at Lille before moving to Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Soumare is a fantastic talent, I am not sure Levy will sanction another €50-60m on a central midfielder after shelling out so much for Tanguy Ndombele in the summer. I genuinely thought that Ndombele could be the answer to our midfield owes as he seemed to have everything we lacked last season. However, the Frenchman has simply unable to stay fit for a run of games which is extremely concerning indeed.
