Report: Ligue 1 club will cash-in on Spurs target if they complete double swoop

According to the latest reports from France, Lille could cash in on rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Jonathan Ikone this summer, as they look to complete deals for their own main striker targets.

Ikone has developed considerably since his move from PSG two years ago and his performances for Lille have seen him establish himself in the Les Blues squad.

Telefoot journalist, Julien Maynard reported last month that Spurs and Newcastle had both enquired about the availability of the 22-year-old.

La Voix Du Nord now claims that Lille are planning a major rebuild in attack this summer and are planning on selling Ikone.

After Victor Osimhen’s departure to Napoli, it is revealed that the Ligue 1 club want to sign Jonathan David as well as Alfredo Morelos this summer.

While the negotiations with Gent over David are reportedly in an advanced stage, it is claimed that the club still have some work to do to agree on a deal for the Rangers star.

The report asserts that if deals for both David and Morelos are agreed, Lille will sanction the sale of Ikone.

Spurs Web Opinion

Ikone is a player who has fantastic potential and his versatility will enable him to cover for attacking midfield as well as the wide areas. Joao Sacramento will know of his qualities well from his time at Lille. I can potentially see us moving on Erik Lamela this summer if we do manage to get a deal for Ikone over the line.
