Report: Ligue 1 club’s director has offered three players to Mourinho and Spurs

Lille have offered Mike Maignan, Victor Osimhen, and Boubakary Soumare to Tottenham Hotspur as they look to raise funds this summer, according to a report from France.

Previous reports have indicated that Tottenham view Maignan as Hugo Lloris’ long term successor in North London (Le10Sport).

Spurs are also said to have already made an offer for Osimhen (Abdellah Boulma), while Soumare has been linked with a move to the club since January (L’Equipe via Sport Witness).

It is well known that Lille’s director of football, Luis Campos, is good friends with Jose Mourinho, with reports earlier in 2020 even suggesting that the 55-year-old might link up with the Spurs boss in England (Sky Sports).

Soccer Link now reports that Campos has personally contacted Mourinho to offer him the chance to sign Maignan, Osimhen, and Soumare.

It is said that Lille are looking to cash in on their star players and Campos has used his relationship with Mourinho to encourage Spurs to bid for the aforementioned trio.

Spurs Web Opinion

Out of the three players mentioned, only Maignan will likely be available at a price that we can afford. Unfortunately, I think we could do with Soumare and Osimhen much more as we are desperate for a striker and a defensive midfielder. I don’t view a first-choice goalkeeper as a priority this summer.
