Report: Liverpool receive double personnel boost ahead of Tottenham clash

Many Spurs fans will remember the flying full-back days of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose, in arguably Tottenham’s best team under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, since selling Walker and Kieran Trippier and with Rose struggling, Tottenham are a shadow of their former selves in the full-back berth.

Liverpool now have the crown for the best wing-back pairing in the league with Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold on either side.

However, it looked touch and go as to whether either would be available to face Spurs this weekend after the trip to Genk in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Alexander-Arnold missed the European tie through illness and Robertson was seen hobbling off injured with half an hour remaining last night.

Luckily for Liverpool, the Mirror report that Alexander-Arnold is expected to overcome his illness in time for the Spurs match, while Robertson seemed to indicate that all was well after the Genk match.
