Report: Liverpool set to make offer for midfielder allegedly wanted by Spurs

According to Italian publication ANSA, Liverpool are interested in a deal for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over recent months.

Kessie’s future at Milan remains in doubt, with the midfielder’s current deal running out at the end of the season.

It has been reported that the Milan star is one of the players that Antonio Conte has urged Tottenham to bring in.

According to reports, Milan are not ready to meet the contract demands of the 24-year-old, with Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain alleged to be leading the race for the midfielder.

It has even been claimed that Spurs have offered the Ivory Coast international a deal worth €10m-a-year (£8.4m) amidst his contract standoff with Milan.

However, if ANSA’s update is to be believed, Liverpool have now also entered the race for Kessie.

The report claims that an exit from the San Siro in the summer is becoming ‘more and more probable’ for the midfielder.

It is alleged that Jurgen Klopp’s men are set to make ‘a very interesting offer’ for the Rossoneri star.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Kessie does become available on a free transfer at the end of the season, one would expect plenty of clubs from around Europe to register an interest in the midfielder. Hopefully, Paratici can use his connections to help Spurs steal a march on others for the 24-year-old.
