Report: Liverpool tempted to move for midfielder linked with Tottenham

CalcioMercatoWeb.it have revealed that Liverpool are tempted by a potential move for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who is also thought to be a target for Tottenham.

The same publication reported a few days ago that Tottenham are considering launching a move for Brozovic in January, on the back of Inter’s poor start to the season.

The report suggested that Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his options in the middle of the park and has identified the 30-year-old as a target.

It was explained that Inter would demand a fee of around €60m (£52m) for the midfielder, which could prove too much for Spurs.

If CMW.it’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham could have plenty of competition for Brozovic’s signature.

The report states that Inter would be open to selling the Croat in January to ease their financial woes.

Liverpool are said to have their eye on Brozovic, with the Reds thought to be keen on making additions to the midfield department in January.

CMW.it also add that the former Dinamo Zagreb man has two other admirers in the form of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think there is any chance of Spurs getting involved in a bidding war for Brozovic in January. A central midfielder is unlikely to be a priority for Conte in January even if Pape Matar Sarr is loaned out as the Italian has four solid options at his disposal.
