Report: London club keen to secure deal for Oliver Skipp

The Evening Standard claim that Fulham have expressed an interest in signing Oliver Skipp on loan next season after securing promotion to the Premier League.

The Cottagers beat Brentford in the play off final to seal their return to the top flight, just one season after they suffered relegation to the Championship.

Manage Scott Parker was understandably quite emotional after helping take the Cottagers back into the top flight.

It is claimed that the former Spurs midfielder and academy coach wants to raid the Lilywhites for young North London talent including Skipp.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that the youngster has asked to go out on loan next season (Alasdair Gold).

The report suggests that Fulham are willing to allow the teenager an opportunity to show his attributes in the Premier League.

It is revealed that Parker also wants to take Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke to Craven Cottage.

However, Mourinho reportedly does not want to lose Sessegnon while he is ready to give Clarke an opportunity to fight for his place in the first-team.

Spurs Web Opinion

A loan move would be ideal for Skipp next season as he is not going to get enough minutes for us. However, I would prefer us to send him to a Championship side where he is more likely to play regularly. A loan to a Premier League side is something we could consider in the second half of the season if the first loan spell goes well.
