Report: Long-term Spurs target could be available this summer

According to a report from Bild, rumoured long-term Tottenham target Leon Bailey could leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

Reports indicate that Tottenham are assessing various forwards who can play on the right-hand side, with doubts over the future of both Erik Lamela and Gareth Bale.

Bailey would certainly fit that mould, having been linked with a move to Spurs from as far back as 2018.

The Jamaican international has just had the most productive campaign of his career from an individual standpoint, scoring 15 times and registering 11 assists in all competitions.

It looks as though the 23-year-old very much remains on the North London club’s radar, with sources revealing back in December that Tottenham were one of a number of English clubs to send scouts over to Germany to watch him in action.

Bild now report that while Bailey remains a part of Leverkusen’s plans, there is a chance that he could leave the BayArena this summer.

It is explained that the Bundesliga club might decide cash in on the forward since he only has two years left on his contract.
