Report: Lyon send Tottenham stern warning over Ndombele transfer

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of high-profile signings so far this summer, but have yet to break their transfer drought.

Spurs have also yet to replace Mousa Dembele in the engine room, with the Belgian transferring to China back in January 2019.

Sky Sports reported last week that Tottenham are interested in signing Lyon midfield man Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

However, other reports now indicate that Spurs and Lyon are still far apart in their valuation of the midfield powerhouse (Sky Sports).

The Standard have now reported that Lyon have warned Tottenham to increase their offer for Ndombele as rival offers are on the cards.

The report states that Ndombele is Tottenham’s top priority signing this summer, and that Lyon are looking for £60m for him.

Lyon President, Jean-Michel Aulas addressed the media this week and stated that he had received lots of offers, but none high enough.

He said (Standard): “Nothing has been decided for Tanguy Ndombele. We have had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

In the current transfer climate, £60m seems like a bargain for Tanguy Ndombele. Levy needs to pay the money, get him in quickly and be done with it. Simple.
