Report: Madrid hoping to get rid of Bale after returning from international duty

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to part company Gareth Bale after he reported back from international duty with a knee injury.

The 31-year-old played a game and a half for Wales in their UEFA Nations League victories over Finland and Bulgaria over the past week.

Deportes Cuatro claim that Bale returned to Madrid yesterday and informed the club that he had picked up a knee issue.

Rather than take part in Zinedine Zidane’s training session, he instead was found in the gym to undergo rehabilitation work with Marco Asensio, Isco, Mariano and Sergio Reguilon who are all also said to be carrying knocks.

The report claims that Real are now hoping to “kick out” Bale after growing increasingly frustrated that the injury proves to be another example of him showing more commitment to Wales than to his club.

Bale recently told Sky Sports that Madrid have made it difficult for him to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the past.

Deportes Cuatro also reported last moth that Spurs are keen to bring their former star back to North London.
