Journalist Thierry Enric has revealed that Real Mallorca are now locked in talks with Tottenham over a potential deal for Bryan Gil.
Gil has not made a single start so far this season and reports over recent months have indicated that Antonio Conte is open to loaning the winger out as long as Tottenham sign a replacement in January (Evening Standard).
Valencia are thought to be keen on re-signing the 21-year-old on loan after his successful spell at the Mestalla during the second half of last season (AS via Sport Witness) while Sevilla have also been credited with an interest in the attacker (Mucho Deporte).
Estadio Deportivo reported a few days ago that Valencia and Sevilla have been joined in the race for the Spain international by both Real Sociedad and Cadiz.
If Enric’s latest update is to be believed, a fifth La Liga club in the form of Mallorca have now made a move for the Tottenham man. The journalist took to social media to reveal that Mallorca view the former Sevilla as the ‘most attractive target’ for the left-wing position.
Javier Aguirre’s men are allegedly in negotiations with Tottenham and are trying to work out a formula to bring Gil to the Son Moix Stadium.
The journalist adds that it is unclear whether Mallorca are negotiating a loan deal for the winger with Spurs or a permanent purchase.

Spurs Web Opinion
There is little chance that Mallorca would be negotiating a permanent deal for Gil as Tottenham’s asking price and the winger’s salary demands would both be major stumbling blocks for the club.
So, the two clubs are likely discussing another loan move. However, I do not think Tottenham would be completely opposed to selling the 21-year-old if a decent offer comes their way.
