Report: Man City could walk away from Kane deal if this happens

The Manchester Evening News have reported that Man City could walk away from their attempted Harry Kane deal if Spurs play hardball this summer.

It has been reported already this month that City have come in with a £100m bid for the Spurs star and England captain.

MEN now claim that, unless Spurs keep their price expectations realistic, Man City will walk away from an attempt to land Kane this summer.

It is reported that City will not be held to ransom, especially due to financial fair play rules and a strict budget for Pep Guardiola’s men.

The report also claims that the £100m bid is false, with both Tottenham and Man City denying it. MEN also add that Tottenham’s £150m price tag is a no-go for City this summer.

A deal will apparently come down to how much Kane pushes to leave and how hard Tottenham are prepared to try and keep him.

Spurs Web Opinion:

As always, I maintain that Harry Kane is staying this summer unless a bid of £150m in cash comes along, which I do not believe it will. Kane will likely leave next summer for £100m when there is a bit more money flying around.
