Report: Man City line up £113m star as potential Harry Kane alternative

According to reports, Manchester City will look to sign Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix this summer if they are unable to get Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

It is claimed that City would offer the La Liga champions cash plus Bernardo Silva in order to sign the forward. However, a deal is said to depend on the future of Kane.

Although Madrid signed Felix for a fee of £113m from Benfica back in 2019, TransferMarkt claim that he is worth just £72m today after struggling to hit the ground running in Spain.

The attacker managed ten goals and six assists in 40 games across all competitions lastcseason for Atletico Madrid (TransferMarkt).

Compare this to Harry Kane who managed an incredible 33 goals and 17 assists in 49 games across all competitions this season and it shows the gap in attacking class.

Sky Sports reported earlier this summer that Kane had told Tottenham he wants to leave this summer, while the Premier League champions are said to be keen on his signature.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I really do not think that Joao Felix is suited to the Premier League and, as such, would love to see Man City go for him instead. I still don’t think that Spurs will be selling Kane this summer unless they get a crazy bid of £150m to £200m.
