Report: Man City preparing new offer over £100m for Harry Kane

Fabrizio Romano has revealed on social media that Manchester City are planning a fresh offer for Harry Kane.

With just over two weeks left until the transfer window shuts, Kane’s future continues to be shrouded in mystery.

Despite Tottenham’s insistence that the striker is not for sale, previous reports indicated Man City remain confident of getting a deal for the 28-year-old over the line before the end of the month.

Romano has now backed up that claim, insisting the Premier League champions have not given up on their pursuit of Kane.

The journalist reveals that Pep Guardiola’s men are preparing a fresh €150m (£127.1m) offer for the England captian.

While Romano explains that Spurs have not yet received a new proposal for their talisman and intend to hold on to him, City are ready to wait and pounce if an opportunity opens up.

It remains to be seen whether the impending offer from City will cause Spurs to rethink their stance regarding the striker.

There is no way that Levy would have held firm all this while only to accept an offer of less than £130m. If City do get their man this window (which I suspect they eventually will), the feel will have to be upwards of £150m.
