Calcio Mercato have reported that Fabio Paratici was spotted in Milan yesterday afternoon at a well-known hotel with his agent, Giuseppe Riso.
One of the publication’s reporters managed to film Paratici walking down the street, with the site claiming that the former Juventus man is still waiting for his contract with Spurs to be signed.
Although no official announcement has been made yet, The Athletic have reported that Spurs are due to confirm Paratici as the new Sporting Director soon.
Multiple reports from Italy have also claimed that Paratici is very close to becoming the Sporting Director and will likely be announced this week (CalcioMercato and TuttoMercatoWeb).
Despite this, it appears that Paratici is not yet in London to link up with Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board. The reason for this is not mentioned in the Calcio Mercato report.
Spurs Web Opinion:
There is likely little point of Paratici flying to London, short of getting a photo opportunity for the announcement. Perhaps he is even already working on potential signings over in Italy, we just don’t know at this stage. However, it seems nailed on that he will be officially announced sooner rather than later.
