Report: Man United have made offer for midfielder Conte is allegedly ‘crazy’ about

Calciomercato.it have claimed that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have both made offers for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also thought to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Milinkovic-Savic has been consistent in his attacking output throughout the years at Lazio and the attacking midfielder has enjoyed another productive campaign this time around, with nine goals and 11 assists in 33 Serie A appearances so far (Transfermakrt).

La Lazio Siamo Noi reported earlier this month that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are ‘crazy’ about the Lazio star and the North Londoners could launch an offer for the player if they qualify for the Champions League.

The report revealed that Spurs were facing competition from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain for the 27-year-old.

Calciomercato.it have now claimed that Milinkovic-Savic has made up his mind to leave Lazio this summer and Maurizio Sarri has given the green light for the club to cash in on the player.

The report makes no mention of Tottenham’s interest but claims Man Utd and PSG are both ready to pay €65m (£54.5m) for the attacking midfielder.

Calciomercato.it also add that Juventus hold an interest in the Serbian international and ‘cannot be excluded from the race’.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Conte seems to have settled on a 3-4-3 over a 3-5-2, I do not see us paying big money for a player like Milinkovic-Savic. While Spurs will probably be in the market for a number eight to give Conte more options next season, the club might settle for a low-cost option like Christian Eriksen.
