Report: Man United hold talks with Spurs star over potential January move

Christian Eriksen made his intentions more than clear in the summer when he claimed he was ready to move on from Tottenham Hotspur (Ekstra Bladet).

The Great Dane said that he was ready for a new challenge and a step up from his time in North London, despite making the Champions League Final last season.

Unsurprisingly, with his contract up in the summer, Eriksen has not signed a new deal with Tottenham thus far this season.

This means that the midfield man will be able to talk to clubs in January about a potential free move in the summer, however, this only includes non-English sides.

El Desmarque claim that the Dane is tired of waiting for Real Madrid to come along and will now look towards alternative offers (via The Sun).

The report says that Man United held talks with Eriksen last month over a possible January transfer, with the figure of £46m being thrown around.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If United offer £46m for Eriksen with just months left on his contract then I’ll pack his bags myself! It’s all about getting some cash or a player for Eriksen now, as he clearly doesn’t want to stay.
