Report: Man United join race for striker linked to Spurs, Liverpool, and Chelsea

According to reports from France, Manchester United have become the latest club to join the race for Lille striker Victor Osimhen, who has been linked with several clubs of late, including Spurs.

Osimhen was said to be on Tottenham’s radar in January (Sky Sports) but the North Londoners ended their search for a striker in the winter window empty-handed.

Liverpool and Chelsea were also reported to be keen on signing the Nigerian international (Jeunes Footeux), who has netted 18 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Lille this season (transfermarkt).

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be tracking the 21-year-old (Le10Sport) whose performances have certainly caught the eye in Ligue 1.

Now, Tottenham may have yet another competitor in the fight for Oshimen’s signature with Le 10 Sport (as relayed by Inside Football) claiming that Manchester United are now also keen on Oshimen.

It is asserted that the Red Devils have made the signing of the Lille striker a priority in the summer as they seek to bolster their forward line.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Oshimen would be a perfect fit for us given his age and potential to develop. He would be content to learn off Harry Kane in his first few seasons and he is capable of partnering the England captain upfront. However, I believe we have likely already missed out on our chance to sign Oshimen as he is likely to be out of our price range in the summer.
