Report: Man United may be ‘primed to swoop’ for attacker linked with Spurs

The Sun have revealed that Manchester United could make a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Dybala’s current contract with Juventus runs out this summer (Transfermarkt) but Juve are still thought to be hopeful of tying the Argentine down to a new deal, with discussions with the player’s entourage set to take place this week (Gazzetta dello Sport).

Sport claimed last month that Tottenham were leading the race to snap up the 28-year-old when the transfer market opens in the summer.

Corriere dello Sport have now suggested the chances of Dybala signing a new contract with Juve are minimal, with the parties now ‘increasingly distant’ from an agreement.

The report also reveals that the forward was almost sold to Man Utd three years ago and he even recorded a tearful goodbye message at the time to his Juve teammates.

The Sun have relayed this information and added that the Red Devils could reignite their interest in Dybala in the summer.

It is revealed that United are set to be on the hunt for forward options in the summer and could be ‘primed to swoop’ for the Juve star.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs will likely have to compete with a whole host of clubs across Europe for Dybala if the forward does not agree on a new contract with Juventus.

I am not particularly optimistic about our chances of winning the race for the 28-year-old as other clubs could blow us out of the water in terms of the wages that they can offer for the forward.
