Report: Man United reignite interest in Tottenham first-team star

Tottenham Hotspur may be resigned to losing Christian Eriksen in the near future, after the Great Dane revealed his wish to make a step up and find a new challenge away from North London (Ekstra Bladet).

This comes after Spurs reached the Champions League final last season, with the playmaker now having just one year left on his current deal at the club.

While the links with Real Madrid have died down in recent weeks (Sun), The Independent now report that Man United will reignite their interest in Eriksen if Paul Pogba leaves this summer.

The report adds that Eriksen may be put off a move as the Red Devils have no Champions League next season, United are said to be confident that they could leverage a deal.

However, The Guardian have also reported that Eriksen staying at Spurs for the next season is becoming increasingly likely, which could open up a free transfer in 2020.
