Report: Man Utd considering move for player Spurs have already bid for

The Athletic have reported that Manchester United are now also considering a move for reported Spurs target, Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer.

A report yesterday revealed that Tottenham have already had a bid turned down for the Bologna defender this week (Sky Sports (1/7 – 15:01).

Spurs reportedly offered a deal worth an initial £12.9m (€15m) as well as an extra £2.6m (€3m) in add-ons, although Bologna value the centre-back at £17.2m.

It was also reported this week that Tottenham’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici was set to accelerate talks with the Serie A club over the possible signing (Corriere di Bologna as relayed by Sport Witness).

However, Spurs may have competition for his signature as Calciomercato revealed that Bologna have received two bids this summer, one from the North London club and another from Atalanta.

If The Athletic are to be believed, Man United could also join the race in the near future.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I expect Spurs to get this deal wrapped up for around £16m in the next few days, also indicating that one of Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld or Davinson Sanchez is on the way out this summer.
