Report: Man Utd could enter race for right-back wanted by Spurs

According to a report from ESPN, Manchester United could enter the race for rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Max Aarons this summer.

Right-back is clearly one of the priority areas for Tottenham to address this summer, with neither Matt Doherty nor Serge Aurier inspiring a lot of confidence last season.

Aurier has just 12 months left to run on his contract with the club and has been linked with a move away this summer.

Aarons, who has enjoyed another impressive season at Carrow Road, is rumoured to be one of the options Tottenham are eyeing as a potential replacement for the Ivorian.

Reports indicate that the right-back is valued at around £30m by Norwich. However, it now looks as though Tottenham could face some competition from Man Utd for the Canaries star.

ESPN report that United may have been priced out of a move for former Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier, who they wanted to bring in as competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

It is revealed that if the Red Devils do not land Trippier, they could turn their attention to Aarons instead.

One thing we could offer Aarons over United is guaranteed first-team football, which could help to sway the 21-year-old. We could also use Skipp as a bargaining tool and potentially agree to loan him to Norwich for another season.
