Report: Man Utd could rival Spurs for striker’s signature

According to a report from Napoli radio station Radio Kiss Kiss as translated by Wales Online, Tottenham Hotspur could face competition from Manchester United for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, with the Red Devils now ready to enter the race for the Poland international.

Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for Milik over the past few weeks, with reports indicating that the club have held talks with Napoli regarding the striker (Calcio Mercato).

However, Football Insider reported on Sunday that Tottenham’s attempts to sign the 26-year-old fell through as the Napoli man was not keen on playing second fiddle to Harry Kane.

It is now claimed that United could be set to swoop for Milik, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to bolster his front line.

The report claims that the striker was a boyhood Manchester United fan and would be open to a move to Old Trafford.

It is suggested that Napoli are demanding around £32million for the striker’s signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is frustrating that we have still not signed a proper back up to Kane and have left it really late once again. However, it is more important that we bring the right players in rather than just getting a deal over the line quickly. If we can get a deal for Milik over the line (along with a centre-back), we would have had an unbelievable transfer window.
