Report: Man Utd willing to sell player who allegedly rejected Spurs in January

ESPN have now revealed that Manchester United are open to listening to offers for rumoured Tottenham target Anthony Martial this summer.

Spurs are alleged to be longtime admirers of Martial and were reportedly looking to finally complete a deal for the French international during last summer’s transfer window (Manchester Evening News).

Ekrem Konur revealed the North Londoners once again tried to sign the French international in January, with Fabrizio Romano adding that the forward turned down the chance to join Spurs before he eventually sealed a loan move to Sevilla.

The Man Utd star has struggled to make much of an impact at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, having scored just once and provided one assist in 11 appearances for the La Liga club (Transfermarkt).

ESPN have now claimed that Martial is not part of Erik Ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford next season and that the attacker is one of several players the Red Devils are willing to listen to offers for.

Spurs Web Opinion

I was in favour of signing Martial in January as I thought he would be a decent fit for Conte’s system given his versatility. However, the 26-year-old has not been able to revive his career in Sevilla, which will likely put off many interested suitors including Spurs.
