Report: Manager already targeting move for this Tottenham defensive midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur now have an embarrassment of riches in the central midfield positions in North London for new head coach Jose Mourinho.

After Mousa Dembele was sold in January, Spurs eventually replaced the Belgian with a new record signing in the form of Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

Oliver Skipp has also emerged as a new young talent out of the academy system at Spurs, joining the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Ndombele, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, and Victor Wanyama.

Unfortunately, the last name on this list has struggled for game time under both Pochettino and Mourinho in 2019 and he is now being linked with an exit.

Takvim in Turkey report that Galatasaray manager, Fatih Terim, is keen on signing then Kenyan international from Spurs. Terim is said to be a close friend of Mourinho’s.

The two men have reportedly already spoken about a potential deal and Mourinho could be open to letting Wanyama leave.
