According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur will consider transfer offers for a dozen players as a potential dramatic overhaul of their squad may happen.

After a brilliant World Cup performance but a disappointing season, full back, Kieran Trippier heads the list of twelve including counterpart Serge Aurier.

Both have had forgetful seasons for the club where the Englishman admitted last month that “I could have done a lot better this season” (Evening Standard)

Last summer, the north London outfit were willing to let go of Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose – with Manchester United showing big interest in the Belgian, despite no formal bid being received.

Other squad players including Vincent Janssen, Victor Wanyama, Fernando Llorente and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou would be allowed to leave the club if the right offer was to come in.

It is understood the other names on the list include Argentine winger Erik Lamela and French midfielder Moussa Sissoko, but only if sizeable bids were made.

The duo of Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen are entering the final twelve months of their contract at the club this summer with their future’s at Tottenham Hotspur remaining unclear.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Keep Sissoko,Erikson and Toby ,flog the rest of the 12 named, but cannot see Danny Rose leaving he has a great relationship with Poch,Lamela back to his running round like a headless chicken ,trying to get sent off its going to be a great transfer window ,with spurs according to the press buying 250 players and flogging the best ones being it on

  2. i hope rose stays and let his football do the talking — he knows that he is appreciated at the lane by supporters and fellow players so be tough and do not let the racist bigots decide his future

  3. If both right backs have had “forgetful” seasons — about what, remembering to get back and defend? Tying their bootlaces? Couldn’t Poch send them minder notes?

  4. Why does anyone even want read this rubbishy gossip. The only people that know what players are likely to be sold or bought are Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino who are doing an exceptional in bringing back the ‘Glory Years’ to The Spurs.Be grateful!

  5. The only people who should leave, and who would benefit from leaving, are Aurier, Wanyama, Llorente, Nkoudou and Janssen. As for Trippier (stop wishing him out of the club, because it’s a wish most of you would come to regret) he will get back to form; Lamela, the talented enigma, he’ll get one more season to turn it around (3 to 4 years ago he was a brilliant fit in Poch’s system, playing wonderfully alongside Kane, Eriksen and Alli, but injuries and a strange state of mind have made him a very frustrating ineffective player); Rose is too good for us, to go anywhere, while a bit too old and not quite brilliant enough to command a huge fee from another high profile club. Sissoko’s situation is a bit like Rosie’s, and we’re probably seeing the best of the big man now, so he’ll stay. Toby and the Dane we should fight tooth and nail to keep, as world class defenders and world class playmakers don’t crop up too often, let alone ones that are for sale at fair prices. So the five I first mentioned and that’s it, with those coming in? Another playmaker to ADD to Eriksen, another striker to cover for and sometimes complement Kane, another right back to compete with Tripps (I don’t think KWP is going to cut it now), and a strong central midfielder to rival/cover Winks. That’ll do it.
