Report: Mauricio Pochettino could try to sign Tottenham target for PSG

According to Tuttosport, Mauricio Pochettino will try to take Paulo Dybala to France in January should he be confirmed as the next Paris Saint-Germain manager.

If reports are to be believed, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager is on the verge of taking over the Ligue 1 giants.

Tottenham famously came close to snapping up Dybala during the summer of 2019 (Independent) just a few months before Pochettino was sacked by the club.

It was reported at the start of this month that the North Londoners had been offered the chance to sign Dybala once again and that Jose Mourinho is also keen on bringing him to the club in January (Todofijaches).

TuttoSport have also mentioned Spurs as a possible destination for the Argentine, while Manchester United are said to be interested in his services.

However, the report claims that Pochettino now wants to make the 27-year-old one of his first signings at PSG.

The French giants are reportedly ready to offer €60m (£54m) for Dybala, which is thought to be considerably less than Juventus’ valuation.

The report also does not rule out the possibility of the forward signing a new contract with the Serie A giants.

Spurs Web Opinion

One would imagine that Pochettino would make his demands clear in terms of transfer targets before taking the job. However, PSG are not in a very healthy financial situation at the moment and so I doubt they will be signing players like Dybala for big money next month unless they are able to sell a few players.
