Report: Mauricio Pochettino has contacted Spurs star over move to PSG

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Mauricio Pochettino has already spoken to Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli regarding a move to Paris Saint-Germain this month.

Pochettino was confirmed as the new PSG boss at the weekend and previous reports indicated that the Argentine would like to make Alli, who has fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho, one of his first signings at the Ligue 1 club.

Foot Mercato claim that the midfielder will not say no to a move to Paris and both he and Pochettino would like to work together again following the fruitful time they had together in North London.

The report reveals that PSG made multiple offers to sign the 24-year-old during the previous transfer window but Daniel Levy rejected the French club’s advances.

However, it is said that Tottenham have since reconsidered their position due to the England international’s ability to break into the side.

Additionally, it is said that officials from PSG are in regular contact with Alli’s representatives over a potential move before the end of the window.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe a loan move to PSG for Alli is all but inevitable this month. The move would suit all parties as the midfielder looks unlikely to get much of a look in at Spurs. His value will only continue to drop as long as he remains on the bench for the rest of the season.
